English And History Tutoring
About
I currently work at a middle school as an educational aid and I love it! I'm certified in Texas to assist students of all ages in their studies, but I mainly focus on 6th-8th grade students.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University and am planning on pursuing a Master's degree in American History.
I mostly tutor in Social Studies and English, but I'm happy to assist with Math and Science if a student is struggling.
I'm a firm believer that every student is capable of achieving greatness, even if they struggle a little sometimes!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to see where a new student is at by looking over previous test/quiz grades, notes, etc., before organizing a study plan for us to complete together!
Sometimes I will ask the student to take a practice test, which, depending on their level of need, I will complete with them.
I like to include the student in all of the organizing to make sure they're staying engaged and enjoying their time with me!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked with kids as young as first grade to as high as twelfth grade for 5+ years now. I'm currently working at a middle school where I assist 6th-8th grade students in their studies (including extra curriculars!).
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students in GenEd ,SpEd, and the ALS and AVLS programs. I've also worked with students on the spectrum and those who are diagnosed with ADHD.
I approach all students on their level. We take our time, learn, and have fun!
