Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the first session, I allow for them to state their goals and areas that they need improvment to help me understand if I would be able to help them fulfill their needs.
I also like to discuss their learning style preference so that I can gather tools and supplies to help them understand concepts much more efficiently.
After the first session, I like to continue the interactive learning where I allow for the student to ask questions based on the previous session as well as tell me how they would like the current session to go.
For students who need more of a teaching style of tutoring, I will be able to have lesson plans ready for each session to help keep a learning pace that suits the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I tutored for 4 years between different private, charter, and public schools for middle school to college in Atlanta and Indianapolis.
I worked in a tutoring lab as well as completed house tutoring calls where I assisted with Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, and Pre Calculus.
I also have a BS Degree in Biomedical Engineering and Biology
