Fox STEM Tutoring

I have a PhD in molecular microbiology and taught high school science for 15 years. I am certified in General Science, grades 9-12, in the state of Texas.

I am a storyteller and will work with you to ensure that you are learning and not simply memorizing. By explaining the "why" and placing concepts into context to make them relevant and memorable to the student, your knowledge will build and last long past the tests you take.

As someone who is not a great test-taker, I understand that you are more than right or wrong answers and will work with you to improve your test-taking skills. I provide strategies to help with standardized testing as well as ways to ensure that your full knowledge is expressed in written answers.

My areas of expertise are biology (through college), chemistry (high school), general science (through 8th grade), and technical writing (lab reports). I am highly skilled in the process of navigating science fair and sent more students to ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair) than any other program in the world during my time in the classroom.
