About
Hi. My name is Angela Price. I have been a public school math teacher for 33 years. I have taught 6th - 9th grade math. Everything from improvement classes to advanced level algebra 1 and geometry.
Throughout those years I have tutored many students, both in person and online.
I would be honored to help your child using online tutoring. I use online services through Zoom, Skype or Google Meets. I use a digital whiteboard and/or video tutorials that I make.
Teaching has been my life's passion. The best feeling ever is when you can help a student who is struggling. Hearing their comments like "I finally get it" or "thanks so much I really understand now" or "I like the way you explain it" are music to my ears.
I have taught at the same school for 30 years and have enjoyed staying in touch with my former students. I love it when they come back to tell me how much they learned from me and appreciated me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first 30 minute session is free. I will assess what your child will need and I will answer any questions you may have about the tutoring sessions.
To tutor online I use one of the following platforms: Zoom, Skype or Google Meets. I use a digital whiteboard which allows students to see me working out the problems.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in education for grades K-8 and a secondary math certification for grades 8-12.
And I have been teaching 6th grade - 9th grade math for 30 years.

1st 30 minute session is Free
After that $25 per half hour.
