About
I work with English language learners to improve their conversational skills, to pass the TOEFL/IELTS, to pass job interviews, to do well in college, and more.
Additionally, I work with middle, high school, and college students to improve their writing skills, whether or not they are native English speakers or English learners.
I have been tutoring since 2009, and I provide in-person and online classes. I have a BA from Texas A&M in anthropology, a M.Sc. from the University of Glasgow (Scotland) in Development Studies, and an M.A. from Texas A&M - Commerce in Applied Linguistics with an emphasis in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I am certified to teach K-12 and ESOL in Texas (and previously in Colorado).

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a master’s degree in teaching English and am currently a doctoral candidate in bilingual education and English as a second language. I have been teaching adults and children since 2009.

Lessons are $50 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching ESL online and then obtained my teaching certificate. I also volunteered in an adult education classroom about the same time.

I have worked with adults and children who are native and non-native English speakers.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
