What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know one another first! Chatting a little bit about ourselves opens the door for comfort and a comfortable student learns much more quickly and effectively. I also find that if we know a few things about one another, it can made communication a lot easier-- I really like to individualize my lessons, and knowing my students' interests can be imperative to learning.
