I am passionate about seeing my students progress and enjoy being a part of their journey as they learn a new language. The most rewarding part of what I do is helping my students develop confidence in speaking and understanding Spanish. Rosy has been an integral part of my Spanish education. As an older adult back in college and learning the language, I have found it takes me more time to speak and comprehend Spanish. Meeting with Rosy between classes has helped me develop those skills which in turn helps me do better in class. Her teaching style is academic yet relaxed. It is a safe space to learn. I am looking forward to working with her again next semester. Highly recommended.

Rosalba is a wonderful Spanish tutor for my 6 year old son. She has really helped retain and advance his Spanish while he has been out of his dual language Spanish class. She is extremely patient and is able to keep him engaged during their sessions.

I am so appreciative of Mrs. Rosalbas assistance. When I first started to work with her, I had trouble writing complete sentences in Spanish. As time went buy, I was able to master complicated tenses (such as the subjunctive and conditional) and learn how to hold 30 minute conversations in Spanish like a fluent, native speaker.
She is always available for lessons and exceeds expectations . All of her lessons are engaging and captivating, so I am never bored. I would recommend her to all of my friends and family.

Sra. Rosalba has taught me Spanish for almost 9 years now. Throughout this time, she has always maintained a sincere level of dedication towards me, and I can see how much she cares about her other students as well. When I was younger, she focused on building my foundation in Spanish. We would go over all the rules for grammar, verb tenses, and vocabulary. For me, I used to have a lot of trouble with grammar, especially concepts like “por y para” and the use of the subjunctive tense. Throughout my younger years, she always remained patient with me and helped me truly learn the basics. As I got older, we began to focus more on my ability to speak, think, and form complex ideas in Spanish. We would spend a couple hours a week just speaking to each other only in Spanish. This method of teaching is what elevated me from being an A student in Spanish at school, to gradually becoming fluent (there’s a big difference between being able to regurgitate vocab and info school throws at you versus actually learning the language!!). She would even have me read books and short stories in Spanish so I could get an understanding of the colloquial language. I can say with confidence, that because of her dedication and effort, I am now fluent in Spanish. Sra. Rosalba is one of, if not the best Spanish teachers I’ve had.
