About
With more than 33 years of experience as a public school teacher and administrator, I have dedicated my career to helping students become confident, successful learners. I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education and Reading and a Doctorate in Special Education and Organizational Leadership, with extensive experience working with students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
I specialize in helping students strengthen their reading and writing skills through personalized, research-based instruction. Whether your child needs support with foundational reading skills, reading comprehension, written expression, or academic confidence, I tailor each lesson to meet their unique learning needs.
My expertise in special education allows me to effectively support students with diverse learning profiles, including learning disabilities, dyslexia, attention deficit disorder, behavior management, dysgraphia, autism spectrum disorders, and other learning differences. I believe every child can succeed, when instruction is individualized, encouraging, and engaging.
My goal is simple: to help students build the skills, confidence, and love of learning that will serve them both in school and throughout their lives. I look forward to partnering with your family to help your child reach their full potential.
Kind regards,
Keisha Henderson, Ed.D
I don’t just teach children to read and write; I help them develop the confidence to believe in themselves as learners.
