I have my Bachelors Degree in Biology, Associates Degree in Nursing, & have recently obtained my Registered Nurse license.
I tutor all subjects from 1st grade - 12th grade - college!
My specialty subjects are math, science/chemistry, NCLEX prep, & dosage calc/med-surg for nursing students.
I have tutored in the past students in high school chemistry & algebra, along with being a "homework helper/tutor" to elementary school students who suffered from ADD/ADHD and needed help just focusing on and completing their weekly homework assignments.
I have a pretty open schedule right now & am available to meet anyone at a local coffee shop or library in the Flower Mound/north DFW area. Degotiable for price/hr depending on workload and subject.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I will bring my own binder full of paper, colored markers, post it notes, and flash cards to every session. I will ask students how they learn best, how they don't learn, and what they are struggling most about. I tend to notice that a lot of past students found success after I broke down the topic/problem and drew it out for them with colors or made flash cards with mneumonics on them. This allowed them to simplify the topic and understand it at the basic level and memorizing it with fun colors/drawings/mneumonics/flash cards.
