Alli's Math Tutoring

When working with a new student, I typically work through their assignments or through practice questions based on the topic they are currently studying or struggling with. I believe that practice is the best way to succeed at math, so I work step-by-step through as many practice questions as we can. I start by working with them very closely and then begin to have them try things on their own, letting them know that I am there if they get stuck, but that they should try to do as much on their own as they can.

I have tutored for many years, since I was in high school, and have tutored elementary to high school students. I currently work as a math specialist at a test prep company helping create practice tests for students studying for a standardized test.

I charge $30 per hour.

I used to help my friends with their math homework all the time in school, and after I had a few friends tell me that I was more helpful than their teacher, I wanted to help more students. I know math is something many students struggle with, and I want to provide encouragement for those who feel like they can't do it. I believe all students are capable of succeeding, but it will take some hard work. I am happy to work alongside students while they do that hard work.

I have worked with many different aged students, and both students who struggle in school and those who excel in school.

I recently got married and it was an absolutely gorgous day. We got married under a giant oak tree surrounded by all our friends and family.
