Ivy League Tutor For SAT/ College Admissions
About
Hi! My name is Theophila, and I'm a recent Dartmouth College graduate in Economics and Neuroscience. In high school, I qualified for a National Merit Scholarship based on my PSAT results and was subsequently one of the top 20 scoring females on the SAT in my state (qualifying for a United States Presidential Scholar Candidate nomination). Having successfully self studied on my own, I look forward to helping you beat the SAT and reach your score goals.
I have roughly 2 years of experience in college counseling and SAT tutoring experience. I enjoy tutoring and believe the best teachers to be those who prize empathy, respect, and good listening skills above all else. I take pride in designing engaging and creative lessons, and tailor every session to my student's needs.
I hold myself to a high standard and would never bill for a lesson that a student is not 100% satisfied with. I do take the time to prepare for each lesson, so I request a 12- hour notification of any session cancellation.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to hearing from you!
I firmly believe that there is no such thing as a bad student- just students who lack confidence, or have not had the material explained to them in a way that they understand
To me, the biggest satisfaction comes from understanding a student's unique learning style and presenting the material in a way that he or she best understands
