Voice And Piano Tutoring

Tyler has been singing and playing piano since he was a child. Since then he has studied music through high school and then went on to get his bachelors degree in music from Salisbury University. While earning his bachelors degree in music, with a focus in “voice”, he also studied piano as a part of the major’s requirements.

Since graduating from college in 2015, Tyler has been enjoying sharing his knowledge in music with students from ages 6-82. He is a strong believer that every student has something to offer and can learn in their own individual process. That being said, Tyler acknowledges that each student has their own taste in music and embraces all genres. Most of Tyler’s current vocal students enjoy singing pop songs or musical theater pieces. His piano students learn anything from pop chord structures to classical preludes. This way the student can get either hands on experience with learning chords to perform their favorite pop songs in real life environments, or classical pieces to dive deeper into musical theory and understanding the instrument itself.

Overall, Tyler is striving to help each student not only gained the knowledge they need to become the best musician they can; but also give them the confidence to prosper in their own emotional drive and passion that comes along with being an artist, utilizing the technical skills of music to portray emotion as a performer.

Outside of teaching, Tyler is a full-time performer. He sings lead vocals for multiple corporate cover bands, as well as writes and performs his own music.

From a very young age Tyler was inspired to learn piano based off of his grandfather‘s accordion playing. He fell in love with singing by hearing vocalists such as The Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Britney Spears, The Spice Girls, Chris Brown, The Beatles, John Mayer, Coldplay, Sam Smith, Lana Del Rey, and the list goes on and on.
