Heidi’s Tutoring
About
I have experience tutoring Pre-K through college. I can teach all subjects through high school, college prep, and college courses within business, history, social sciences, English, and writing.
Although my University degree and professional experience has primarily been in the Marketing and Analytics fields, I have always had a heart and passion for teaching. I am hoping to get a teaching degree and work in an elementary school classroom later in my career. I have a huge heart for children and for learning. My love for learning manifests into a love for helping others to learn, and to find the joy and excitement in school that I was lucky to have been shown growing up.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
No one size fits all - totally depends on the student and their needs!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In High School I tutored students between 2nd grade and 8th grade. I tutored primarily math and English. I also provided SAT and ACT tutoring.
In college I spent one day a week assisting in a preschool classroom and one day a week assisting in a 5th grade classroom for a local public school in Charlottesville, Virginia. I was also a one on one mentor for elementary school students struggling with reading and writing.
My first year out of college I spent working with children at Bellevue Pro Club and Sundance Preschool. I assisted in a pre-K and Kindergarten class for 6 months. I spent the summer of 2017 as a summer day camp instructor and leader for STEM camp for 5th-8th graders, creating the program from scratch.
In 2018, I spent 6 months working as a production assistant for APEX learning in Seattle, in which I edited course content for high school digital curriculums.
In my spare time I am a piano teacher for K-3rd graders, and teach Sunday school at my church. I also assist with grading essays and exams for an engineering ethics course at UW bothell.
