Math Tutoring From MIT Alum
About
I believe everyone can learn math and science. My goal is to help you work through math content from a creative perspective so that you understand the real-world applications of what you're doing. In other words, "when am I ever gonna use this?". I will meet you at your current skill level and we will grow together from there!
I am a current University of Texas graduate student. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from MIT in 2020, with minors in Materials Science and Computer Science. I have a strong background in all things STEM and the design creativity to turn that knowledge into something beautiful. I have been tutoring since I was in high school and now serve as a UT teaching assistant. I am pursuing a teaching certificate in Texas this year. I hope you will choose me to help build your math skills, regardless of your current ability.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where I held several teaching positions. I am now a teaching assistant at UT Austin. In high school I received a score of 5 on 17 different AP exams, so I am particularly prepared to help high school students with AP content. I am pursuing a teaching certification in Texas so that I can become a full time public high school teacher.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge an hourly rate of $25 and prefer to meet with students for 1 hour blocks. Longer sessions can be helpful if a student is specifically preparing for an upcoming exam, so that we have time to review all of the content.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always loved working with students younger than me and discovering knowledge together. I began tutoring privately when I was still in high school. I also have other leadership experience working with students, including a peer-to-peer volunteer program educating high school students on abuse in teenage relationships, as well as stage managing middle school theater productions.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have the most experience with aspiring AP students, but have also worked with students with significant learning differences. My younger brother struggled with learning differences growing up so I understand firsthand the difficulties those students have in keeping up with standard education pacing.
