I am currently working full-time as a software engineer. I believe a healthy balance of technical and people skills is imperative to providing excellent service and customer satisfaction. I thoroughly enjoy learning something new whenever I can. Luckily there is no shortage of new knowledge to learn when working in tech. Most importantly, it is a joy to know my work has helped people achieve their goals whether it be for business or personal use.

I will first get to know a new student by assessing their goals, needs, and wants in the short and long-term.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am educated in computer science and have over 6 years of full-time experience as a software engineer. I have developed applications for companies of all sizes, from small startups to enterprise level ecommerce giants.
I am constantly learning and keeping my skillset inline with modern industry standards and I thoroughly enjoy the discipline of developing software.

Pricing is simply. $30 per one hour session. First session is 30 minutes and FREE!
How did you get started teaching?
I started tutoring in 2014 while an undergrad in college. I also was a TA for multiple coding bootcamps from 2016-2018.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from grade 6 to adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I helped a good friend looking to break into the tech industry by tutoring him in his python introductory course. I broke down several concepts in an easy-to-understand way.
My friend laughably remarked how much better I explained concepts than his professor.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A good teacher should always be personable, attentive, and respectful of a student's learning styles and goals.
If a sessions are not going as planned, a teacher should be open to feedback and happily adjust as needed to ensure optimal learning.
