What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I prefer to have a 30-minute orientation session to discuss the needs of the student. I also offer organization sessions to help students organize their class materials, learn how to use a planner, and create a system to facilitate their learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an American Chemical Society accredited Biochemistry degree and 2+ years of experience in tutoring.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My information and orientation sessions are $20. My rate for tutoring depends on the grade level and subject but ranges from $40-60/ hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started tutoring Organic Chemistry for college students as a part-time job.
