Goodman STEM Tutoring
About
I have mastered a plethora of STEM-related subjects such as Physics (Mechanics/Electromagnetism), Organic Chemistry (I/II), Physical Chemistry, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability, Numerical Analysis, Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, and Calculus (I/II/III). Amongst these courses undertaken at UT Austin and Cedar Park High School, I have tutored colleagues and former classmates in Calculus, Physics, and Chemistry. I worked as a TA for introductory Biology for two semesters at UT Austin. Additionally, I volunteered for a position in a STEM tutoring program affiliated with my High School and a local non-profit center called Music Eunited, in which I fostered musical literacy in children of low-income families. Rigorous academic coursework coupled with practical experience in assisting students in the process of understanding and applying knowledge cultivated an acute capacity to foster a deep understand of the material and expand the academic curiosities of my clients. In addition to providing tutoring services, I am currently I senior engineering honors student at UT Austin.
I enjoy tutoring others in STEM subjects because the material covered in these courses pertains to real-world applications that they may encounter later in life and by overcoming the initial obstacle of understanding affiliated with the learning process, students may continue to explore career or research avenues in STEM to ameliorate society

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For a new student, I gauge the current level of understanding the student possesses along with asking about the general structure of the curricula at hand. I take time to diligently determine their mastery of the course and capacity to connect concepts to determine a suitable starting point via conversing and applying low-pressure diagnostic questions. In addition, I ensure that the student feels comfortable with expressing concerns or requests for clarification during the tutoring sessions. I seek to establish a safe and engaging learning environment which is optimised for each student I may tutor. To encourage growth I would ask for them to show me the facets of the course they are struggling with and expand upon their weaknesses so it may blossom into a strength.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have experience tutoring college students in Biology while I worked as a TA at UT Austin for 2 semesters.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge 10-15 USD / hr as a standard rate range however the price is flexible depending upon circumstances.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I was about 18 in high school when my friends were struggling with their physics courses. To me, the subject was fascinating, so I was willing to assist them in understanding various concepts. Eventually, I realized I had a passion for teaching and pursued a position at my high school as a tutor for STEM classes.
