About
I am currently finishing up my pre-medical track at UT Austin and will begin medical school in the Fall. For the past 2 years, I have been a UT Austin Learning Assistant for Chemistry I and II classes and I helped teach students challenging problems and guide them through exam prep. I am also a Mentor in my research lab and have honed my skills in teaching complicated concepts and procedures to students of all backgrounds. In addition, I have been an one-on-one tutor for chemistry, biology, and math students and for SAT, PSAT, and ACT prep for the last 3 years.
As a fourth-year college student, I have taken a wide range of standardized exams and am available to tutor in all of the following: SAT (99th percentile score), ACT (99th percentile score), PSAT (99.5th pecentile score & National Merit Finalist), and MCAT (94th percentile score). After many hours understanding and perfecting my approach to these exams, I am fully prepared to help you or your student do the same.
I majored in Biology Honors and have a passion for teaching science courses such as chemistry, biology, physics, and K-12 science classes. I also was in Math Honor Society and have a longstanding love for math and statistics and am available for any K-12 math courses. As a Teaching Assistant, I hosted weekly office hours and helped struggling students catch up in class and overcome any challenges they faced with the material.
As stated above, I have taken and scored well in the ACT, SAT, PSAT, and MCAT, and would love to help you or your student boost scores on any of these math, critical reading, science, English, or specialized MCAT sections. I hope to use my experience as a student and background in teaching to help the students I tutor address any content or test-taking difficulties and reach their full potential!
