Hi, I'm Amy — a test prep and math tutor based in Allen, serving the Plano and North Dallas area. I work with students online across the country and in person in the DFW area.
I scored 720 on the GMAT (94th percentile) after two months of self-study, which earned me a full-tuition scholarship to my MBA program. That experience shaped how I teach: most students don't need more hours, they need a sharper plan.
I've been tutoring privately since 2017, and I currently work with:
• GMAT, GRE, and Executive Assessment students applying to business and graduate school
• High school students preparing for the SAT and ACT
• K–9 students in math through Algebra I and Geometry
• Mandarin students using Montessori-inspired methods
I also homeschool my own son, so I understand firsthand how children learn and what parents are looking for in a tutor.
What sessions look like with me: focused, practical, and honest. I run a quick diagnostic to find the real gaps, build a plan around the highest-leverage topics, and don't waste time on filler. I'm direct but patient — students get clear feedback, not empty encouragement.
