Math Peaks
About
As a former HS math teacher, I customize the learning to the student. Depending on the activity I try to use fun mnemonics or manipulative to help them retain concepts
I prefer one to one work over group settings. Here teacher and student can build a student teacher relationship while allowing student to feel safe and relaxed to ask questions without worrying about what others msy think. As a formerteacher/principal I also can offer additional advice to make learning easier and enjoyable

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, I like to do a virtual 30 minute zoom meet that is free to see if I will be a good fit for the student. At this time, I like to figure out what they need in more detail and try to get a sense of what their goal is so I can give them an idea of how many sessions week they would need to reach that goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Former HS math teacher in NY and Tennessee. Taught middle school math up to 12 th grade math. I prefer to teach up to Algebra 2 as i am out of practice with precalc and calculus. I was both a middle school and high school administrator in NY and Texas and can review and understand any curriculum our there.
