About
I love getting to know why my students want to learn spanish, and who they would wish to talk to. This way, we can personalize every class to meet the goals that they have.
I lived in Nicaragua for 18 years and interacted with people all over Latin America, so I am able to provide some great insight on more common forms of speaking. As well as teaching terms from different countries depending on the needs of the student. I have worked at the Latin American Public Opinion Project at Vanderbilt University for about a year, in which I have learned so much about the importance of diversity and the spanish language.
I have also worked different jobs in Nicaragua, including positions as a project manager, logistics coordinator and hospital technitian intern. I am able to provide spanish training meant for professional use at work.
I have a very deep appreciation for Latin American culture. I wish to educate people on the beauty of everything that can come along with communicating in spanish, including all of the different perspectives that new spanish speakers get to learn about.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will often have my students tell me why they want to learn spanish, and elaborate on their past education and experiences with the language. I will work with them to build a 2-month plan in which we set specific goals that we have both agree go in hand with their intended use of spanish.
