Learning and teaching are my passion. My goal is to help students to reach their full potential while igniting excellence and exploration of learning.

I am a Board Certified Physician Assistant so lifelong learning is a part of the job description. I have worked with students of all ages from elementary to graduate students. In the past, I have tutored students in the area of biology (my undergraduate major), chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and communications (my undergraduate minor).

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First, I assess that student's learning style and areas in which this student wants to improve. I want to understand what the student expects to get out of the tutoring and how they plan to take an active role in this process. I create a plan tailored to the student's needs while regularly checking in to make sure expectations are being met as the tutor.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Master of Physician Assistant Science and a BS in Biology.

I worked as a success coach and tutor through the university I attended.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Pricing ranges from $40-55 on the basis of the student's needs, plans, and goals.

How did you get started teaching?

I began my teaching several years ago as a summer counselor for an elite healthcare summer experience. I enjoyed educating students about medicine and the different career paths while teaching medical terminology. This started my love for teaching, and I have found ways since then to fuse my passion for teaching and medicine with tutoring.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with elementary students in math and science through Big Brothers Big Sisters during graduate school.

I tutored high school students for 1 year during undergrad in science, math, social sciences, and English.

I worked with several of my classmates during graduate school in pharmacology, clinical medicine, anatomy, and physiology to obtain the scores needed in order to be successful for clinical rotations and beyond.
