Anderson Academy Tutoring

Hello parents and students! My name is Will Anderson, and I am excited about the opportunity to teach you about my favorite subject, Math. I grew up in Knoxville, TN and went to Bearden High School where I graduated with a 4.0+ GPA. I was fortunate to be the recipient of several scholastic awards, and had a wonderful Geometry teacher who not only enhanced my love for Math, but his strong recommendation was instrumental in my attending Clemson University, where I graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree.

My other interests include soccer...I played in High School when Bearden won 2 state titles as well as a national title. Since then I’ve gone on to coach soccer with kids. I’ve also enjoyed a hobby of building and racing remote control cars.

I am a happily married husband to Kayla, and a dad to our 3 year old bundle of energy, Emmy.

I enjoy helping people learn. It is one of my passions which is one of the main reasons I am doing private tutoring. Before each tutoring session, I study a lesson plan, gather the proper materials which I will use in that session, and review my tutoring notes which I make for each tutoring session. I have a separate profile for each of my students with notes, any special learning disabilities that I need to know about, homework assignments, grades, and any additional pertinent information. This profile can be requested at any time by the student or parent.

I try to cater and customize the tutoring experience to the needs of each particular student. This ensures that each session is as efficient as possible allowing the student to get the most out of their experience.

I have about 2 years tutoring experience at a company called Mathnasium located in Knoxville, TN. Here, I learned valuable experience working with kids from kindergarten all the way through first year college students. I taught as basic as simple addition and subtraction to as complicated as physics and calculus, and everything else in between. I also have 2 years private tutoring experience. I have full confidence in most any math subject, and am very good at what I do.

I enjoy every aspect of tutoring from helping the student succeed in Math to the actual subject of Math itself. I have full confidence in tutoring just about any student with whatever needs they may have.
