Nathanael Rutherford
About
I have over half a decade of experience as a published writer, and I served as an online editor and social media manager for the last three years. I have exceptional writing skills, and my passion is in writing and reading, both. I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's Degree in English with a focus in creative writing. I've been in sports media the last six years, and I've helped teach new writers along the way on multiple ocassions. I excel with grammar, sentence construction, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and public speaking.
I'm a big believer in compassion and empathy, and I love to give back however I can. Helping prepare the next generation in the field of arts and literature is one unique way I can help, and I know I have the ability to aid those who need it. I enjoy seeing the sense of pride and accomplishment in a pupil after they've conquered something that's given them problems.

Frequently asked questions
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Any student looking for help in reading and writing should look for a tutor who is patient and has the ability to explain things in a multitude of ways. Tutors in this area need to realize that teaching reading and writing isn't like teaching math or science; while there are grammar rules and structure, English and writing are often more subjective. There needs to be more patience and flexibility when teaching the arts.
