I love helping students see problems in new ways, and thus allowing them to understand the problem better and solve it, whether in Math, English, or other subjects. I have tutored high school students in the past, mainly in math, and most recently worked with elementary school students who were in virtual learning programs. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Environmental Studies in May of 2020, and I have always loved school and learning.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get an idea of what they know and what exactly they are having trouble with before jumping in. Then, I like to work through problems together in order to understand where they are hitting problems.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have developed environmental education programs in multiple jobs - as a naturalist intern, a sustainability intern, and a camp counselor. In my most recent job I worked with kids aged 6-10 who were enrolled in remote learning programs and was responsible for ensuring they completed their assignments, understood their work, and logged into their zoom calls.

Around $20 per hour, but it's negotiable.

I have tutored elementary school students and high school students, and have been a camp counselor for kids ranging from 6 to 16 years old.
