I have been listed in the Best of Tutors.com this last year which accounts for only 6% of the tutors on this website. I have a B.A. in English Literature and French, with minors in Spanish and Art. I also have a B.S. in interior architecture and took a few education classes in grad school. I have done some tutoring over the years, while working as an interior designer, but now am tutoring full time. I tutored my friend's daughter in French, English, and history (from her beginning of high school through to her graduating from college eight years later) and loved every minute of it. It was challenging as she has dyslexia and ADD, but it was thrilling to see her overcome and do well in her classes. She went from making D's to making A's. I have also tutored fellow students in college and numerous others over the years. All these experiences have led me now into full time tutoring.
I love teaching and come from a family of educators. My grandparents on both side were teachers and my father was a history professor and my mom taught art. So learning and teaching has always been a part of my life, and it offers so many rewards. It is beautiful to see young people and adults learn and succeed!
