Tutoring With Ms. Meg

When I was in elementary school, tutoring played a crucial role in helping me overcome my learning disability. Now, I feel fortunate to give back by supporting students in their educational journeys. I’ve worked with learners of all ages, from preschoolers to adults, but my main focus has been teaching academic English, especially with an emphasis on reading.

I hold a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Murray State University. Over the years, I’ve participated in various professional development courses focused on teaching English, student engagement, and reading intervention. These experiences have shaped my approach in the classroom.

When working with students, I strive to build relationships rooted in a growth mindset and a strong sense of community. Together, we’ll use data to set personalized goals, develop skills, and work towards becoming more independent and successful learners.
