I am an educator with 10 years of classroom experience and 4 years of online tutoring experience. I received my master's degree in education from Lipscomb University and love teaching!

I am licensed in ELA (English), Speech, and Biology teacher for grades 6-12. I have also worked with college students, and I have taught many elective courses such as ACT Prep, Anatomy and Physiology, Creative writing, and many others.

I enjoy providing students with a fun (but educational) environment wherein I build interest in the topics we study by getting to know my students. Building rapport and utilizing students’ prior knowledge (as well as their likes/dislikes) to make the assignments more meaningful to them helps with student success. From Edgar Allan Poe to Dante, and everywhere in between, if we can find a way to make the reading personal, we can make it enjoyable.

I had Mr. Conger as a High School English teacher and he was great. He cared about all of his students and wanted only the best for them. After graduation, Mr. Conger also helped me with college assignments. He was always willing to help when needed and encouraged me to do my best. As a parent, I was very impressed with the way Mr. Conger always encouraged my daughter. Instead of pointing out the ways she could improve, he never missed a chance to comment on the things that she was doing right - This went a long way in keeping her interested in her studies.
