I am a seasoned (but young at heart) public school turned Montessori teacher, certified in Pre-K to 8th grade. I live in Nashville and have 3 children, one grandchild, one dog, and three cats.

I believe in teaching the "whole child". Children need to feel connected and emotionally safe in order for their minds to be able to learn. When they feel their teachers actually care about them, then they want to spend time with them and learn from them.

I teach engaging lesson around the individual's interests, involving movement and activities involving the 5 senses. Connecting new lesson content with meaningful experiences helps the brain to comprehend and recall the information later.

I specialize in literacy (teaching children to read) and working with children with ADHD and/or Autism. I am trained in Social & Emotional Learning and Trauma-Informed Education and work well with sensitive children and those with neurodivergent tendencies.
