About
I have 15 years of experience in education and have worked with a variety of students, from public school students to private school students, from those struggling in their classes to those wanting to push themselves to the next level. Many of the families I have worked with recommend me to others and/or ask me to work with their students over multiple years.
I am passionate about helping students succeed! One-on-one tutoring allows me to tailor the work we do to the individual student's needs, something not possible in a larger classroom setting.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually meet once or schedule a call that lasts about 30 minutes to discuss what the student's specific needs are. If my services and personality seem like a good fit for the family, we work out a schedule. If we meet in person, we usually do so at a library. If we meet virtually, I have used FaceTime, Zoom, or Skype.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in education from Belmont University with a major in Spanish and minor in English. I taught 4 years at Glencliff High School and 5 at Franklin Road Academy. I have worked as a private tutor or a tutor at Homework Hotline throughout my time in the classroom. Currently, I am a Family Engagement Specialist and Spanish teacher for an MNPS middle school.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Virtual or In-person
6-12: $80-120 per hour depending on grade-level, subject, and type of tutoring required (if curriculum is provided). I can tutor for English and Spanish.
I am happy to create curriculum and a learning plan, but pricing varies depending on the amount of curriculum needed.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of students and am comfortable working with struggling students and high achievers. My students at Glencliff we're very diverse, and after my first year as a teacher, they grew 2 years on average during my 2nd and 3rd year as a teacher, and 3 years on average during my 4th year.
I have tutored numerous Franklin Road Academy students. Some have wanted to move their B to an A; others have been failing and wanted to pass their class. All of the students I have worked with consistently have achieved their goal!
At Homework Hotline, I often worked with students on a variety of work. Many requested me the next time they called.
