About
I am an engineer who majored in mechanical engineering in college. I have been working with engineering for 20 years and enjoy using math, science, for example, in automotive, aerospace, and hydraulic services industries. I enjoy sharing my experiences and knowledge with others, while also learning from other's experiences. I am never too old to grow and have a passion to pass down to future generations the importance of a solid education regardless of what that may look like for each individual. I enjoy mentoring people, who want to succeed in their education or workplace careers. I do not claim to have all of the answers to every problem in the field I work in. However, I am mindful I am strong in areas of math and science mainly because I use it frequently. For those areas I am not so strong, I am a dedicated and motivated individual who seeks help, where needed, and have a sense of humility when it comes to learning as an adult.
In each instance, I seek to be the best person both in attitude and conversation. Am I perfect at this? Not the least. But, I show up and endeavor to do the best of my ability.
I am a methodical engineer who does my best to simplify solutions to problems rather than over complicate them. If I don't know the answer immediately, I will be honest with myself and others and let them know I need to take the action of digging deeper into the solution.
I have been known to be an introvert; but, once I get to know someone better, I enjoy conversing on what is important to people. I will treat people respectfully, regardless if I respect is not reciprocated. I believe there are times where "agree to disagree" may be necessary, but everyone feels safe afterwards. Ultimately, I want to be a peaceable individual and is easy to get along with.
