I aim to make the materials relatable and relevant to the student so they can better grasp the content. I am patient and my goal as a tutor is to help students feel confident about what they learned. As a recent graduate of USCUpstate, I have learned that as humans we never stop learning. Anything I can do to help other people learn makes me feel useful!
I enjoy English because words (language) hold the power to express the human experience.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Find out their strength first in English, then their weakness, and then figure out how we can pull what they already know as the foundations for the new things learned. Like all houses it needs the ground first before the roof.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I long termed sub English II tenth grade at Boiling Springs High School for some time

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should have goals with what they want to accomplish in their tutoring and be determined to succeed with the goals so they should find out if their teacher can help them reach it with the same enthusiasm.
