About
I have had a passion for the Spanish language ever since I took my first class in 7th grade. It took work, but I noticed quickly the material was always fun and easy for me to understand. I teach in a similar way: our focus will be on creating a good, positive base from which to work, and then diving in from there. Accomplishment then comes naturally.
I have taken AP Spanish in high school, and have a total of 8 years' experience learning the language ranging from middle school to college level.
A bit more about me personally, when I'm not on Tutors.com, I'm studying to become an elementary school teacher!! Teaching has become a big part of my life, and I believe that the love I have for it will show through in my work with students here on the site.
Vamos a ver!
Spanish is not like science, or math, or social studies...
Whatever level you're at, practicing Spanish means being able to one day at a time come to have something you didn't have before- the ability to speak a completely different tongue than you were born with.
There are not many who accomplish it.
Native Spanish speakers will admire you for it. Non speakers will stand in awe of you when you choose to bring it out during a dinner, or when you're at an impasse with someone you come across as a group and you're able to break the barrier and connect.
