Ella Bougher

Hello! My name is Ella Bougher. I am currently an Honors student at the College of Charleston, double majoring in Art History and German.

I work as a writing consultant at the Center for Student Learning, the on-campus tutoring center for students of the College. I specialize in Literature, Writing, and Grammar assistance, but can also help with History, Social Studies, German, and Science.

I scored a 1420 on the SAT, a 5 on both the AP U.S. History and AP World History exams, a 4 on AP Biology and a 5 on AP Environmental Science. At the College, I currently hold a 4.0 GPA with excellent academic standing. I have five years of experience with the German language and am near fluency, with a strong understanding of German grammar and writing concepts.

I have the experience to help your student excell in skills essential for both school and college such as essay writing, test taking, memorization, efficiency, and usage of proper grammar mechanics. My tutoring style focuses on identifying a student's repetitive struggles in a subject and patiently addressing them so that the student may apply those concepts to all of their work, instead of just temporarily fixing an assignment or problem. Additionally, however, I can also help with short-term test preparation, as I have ample experience with studying and memorization methods that have proved highly effective in my academic journey.
