About
Since 2008, I have enjoyed working with K-6 students who struggle in basic subjects. I work with dyslexic students who need to grasp decoding and encoding strategies to improve their reading skills. I have a Wilson Level 1 Certificate.
I hold a Connecticut elementary education certification and a Level 1 Wilson Language Arts certificate.
I love encouraging students who lack confidence in themselves. It is deeply rewarding to watch a student grasp a skill and realize that with proper strategies, they can improve their ability to learn.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For new students, I review their strengths and weaknesses that the parent/guardian has received from the school. This could be a 504, IEP, or general notes from a teacher. If the issue is a decoding deficit, I will administer the WADE test from the Wilson Reading System.
After I have reviewed the areas that require improvement, I develop a plan with the parent.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Master Science Degree in Elementary of Education, a Connecticut Elementary Education Certification, and a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner Level 1 certificate.
