About
As a special educator with over 30 years of experience working with students in both public and private schools as well as private tutoring in the Columbia area from first grade through college to evaluate reading and improve reading and written expression skills as well as coaching executive function deficit of students with diagnosed and undiagnosed attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I work with students with and without diagnosed learning differences on standardized test-taking skills and those tests' reading and language portions. I am able to work with your child in your home, at the library, or via ZOOM to develop students who can read and build a love for reading through a variety of genres as well as develop their writing skills. I help students and families learn how not only to manage their symptoms of ADHD but excel in the classroom and beyond.
For the past 10 years, I have been working with students on Summer Reading, even if not assigned, as well as developing their writing skills to stop the summer slide.
