Fidelity And Hope

I am a Certified Educator with 26 years in the classroom. I have taught 2nd-6th grade in both the public and private sector. For 6th grade, my concentration was in English and Social Studies. I have also taught Gifted and Talented students. I am very passionate about student success. Success begins with building good relationships. Personal experiences can help build connections to better understand what is being learned. Every learner is unique and has their own learning style. I will take the time to find out how students learn best so that we can use this data to help me do an excellent job. Experiences can help a learning use what is already known to achieve a better understanding. Resources can be searched to support what is being learned. Other’s perspectives gives us insight, and students in turn are able to shape their own ideas. What is learned should be check and monitored. If there is a gap, time can be taken to address specific needs to help with understanding. I have research experience to help write curriculum; I have mentored current education professionals; and I have tutored young and old during my professional career. Strategies like interactive games, chunking, or questioning can be the tool needed to really master a skill. I’ll do an excellent job when it comes to tutoring because I love learning and I also love helping others learn.
