Learning Less Scary

I am a part-time History and Math teacher with over six years of experience in teaching and working with kids in various capacities. My campers and students have said, "You're the first person to actually explain [that] in a way that made sense" and "You make [what we're learning] fun." I studied a curriculum from K5-12th grade that dug into the roots of child development and education to maximize each child's academic potential. I have also gone through over three years of training on child development and education and can adapt lessons to fit several different ways of thinking and processing information. My goal as a teacher and as a tutor is that 1) no student is afraid of homework or the content they are learning, and 2) each student succeeds in school and strengthens their brain, becoming a well-rounded human being.
