Hey! My name is Ethan. I am 17 years old. I am in the 12th grade at an online school called Connections Academy. I am CPR and BLS certified. I have babysat for family and friends and a few neighbors. I have babysat for them for almost a year now. I believe I am very responsible and trustworthy. I also worked at an afterschool program for almost 2 years so I have experience maintaining large amounts of kids as well as helping with homework etc. I am in multiple clubs at school where we do a lot of volunteer work in the community. I live when kids have that "ah-ha!" moment after they figure something out. Not only has this helped the student, but it helps the teach as well by giving the teacher encouragement. This also shows the teacher that they are effectively helping their student learn and grow

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First of all, I like getting to know the family and student. I like to get a feel for how the student reacts and how the student learns. Doing this helps me cater to the students needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked at an afterschool program where I tutored and taught all subjects to students between 1st and 3rd grade. I am also Basic Life Suppor (BLS) certified to the healthcare provider level.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all ages between the grades of 1st and 5th. I also have worked with special needs students as well
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would want the student to ponder what specifically is giving the student trouble. Knowing this can helo the teacher gear the tutor sessions toward the student's issue.
