About
I have been a certified educator in the states of Georgia and South Carolina for the past 13 years teaching grades K-3rd. I enjoy helping to nurture and motivate my students by using their strengths to help them set new goals. I love connecting content to what my students know and love. I take pride in seeing that "ah ha" moment when they grasp new concepts I have taught.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am tutoring using Google Meets. I have open communication for families when they have questions or concerns. I make connections and like to meet my students where they are. I develop lessons at my student's current level by using teacher created assessments and materials. I use current state curriculum standards and set goals with my students based on their needs. I observe and narrow down specific skills we may need to work on through guided and independent practice. We always summarize new content learned together and then make connections for retention.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had my second little girl named Samantha we call her Sami and she just turned one year old. I love watching her grow and develop each day and play with her older sister Sarah who is almost 4. Watching Sarah help teach Sami new things makes my heart proud as a Mom and a teacher.
