I will typically communicate with students/parents via email to determine any specific needs and the scope of the project and whether or not I'm best suited for their needs. Then we can make a plan detailing how best to accomplish their goals. Then I discuss my fees and any other financial concerns in detail before the project begins.

I have a BA in English (2007) from The Citadel Honors: cum laude

I have an MA in Eglish Literature Post 1660 (2010) from The University of South Carolina Honors: summa cum laude

I have a PhD-ABD in English Literature Specializing in The Long Eighteenth Century (2015) from the University of South Carolina Honors: summa cum laude

I taught at USC for 8 years as a Graduate Instructor, Instructor of Record, and an Adjunct Professor of English

I specialize in English Literature but I taught several courses on Rhetoric and Composition as well

My fee is variable and depends on your location, needs, session frequency, expectations etc. Specialized services pricing is ad hoc.

Generally, I charge anywhere between 40-80 dollars per hour. Again, this rate is variable and can sometimes be adjusted down or up on a case-by-case basis.

I started teaching during my second semester of graduate school at USC in 2009 and continued their until 2016. I've been teaching ever since--in one form or another.

My students ranged in age from their late teens to their sixties. I've also taught several collegiate athletes and ESL students from various contries. 

You should hire someone capable of teaching you--you specifically--how to better understand language, writing, reading, and communicating. Your tutor should be someone from whom you enjoy leanring things. Most importantly, though, it needs to be someone who can teach how to do a thing, but also someone who can teach why you should do that thing.

You should think carefully about what you really want and/or need from the process, and be honest with yourself and your tutor about those things. A good tutor will understand your needs and how best to meet them.
