I am a special education teacher and have been a teacher for 9 years. I have helped numerous students with testing and study skills over the years. Also I have helped students improve skills over time as well. I struggled myself growing up and know first hand several tactics that will help a student succeed.
I enjoy being able to work with a student and see them start to understand what they have been struggling on. It is priceless when you see a student understand something they have struggled on and see the success and feeling of accomplishment in their face.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the first session I will work to get to know the student first and get an idea on exactly where they may be struggling. I usually like the first meeting to be very informal and allow the student to get to know me and feel comfortable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a special education teacher for 9 years now in an urban school. Also I have gone to several different trainings throughout years.
