So I’ll start with saying that I am *not* a math person, like at all... but Tim is literally the reason that I passed my algebra class. He thinks of witty, clever ways to make the information stick in your brain. Tim is awesome!

Tim agreed recently to tutor me for my Accuplacer math examination. His knowledge on the subject area is extensive and he asks questions in lessons that really test my understanding of the topics being studied. He was very pro active and went through everything that I was struggling on and it helped a lot.

Frequently asked questions

I understand that math is pretty tough for many students and not everyone learns the same way, so I adapt my teaching style to match how I notice students learn best. I also have the tools to make tutoring remotely successful- I can provide recordings of our sessions which would have the digital whiteboard with our audio in the background. You can reference the whole session!

I have a BS in Mathematics at the University of Houston and I have three of the actuarial exams under my belt. I'm a property and casualty actuary for MetLife which requires an extensive knowledge of mathematics and an ability to communicate these advanced topics to people in other departments.

I typically charge $35/hour, but I'm willing to work with the student to accommodate them as much as possible.

I've always tutored students throughout my college and professional life. Both of my parents are professors, which I attribute my ability and desire to help people succeed.

Middle school through college.

I hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2016. It was the best experience of my life!

Honestly, learn the "why" not the "how", I promise you will pass your class if you get this down!
