About
I have extensive experience tutoring mathematics-oriented subjects over the past 6-8 years. During college, I served as a teaching assistant for various courses, including Calculus I, Linear Algebra, and Pre-Calculus, for the last four semesters. Additionally, I worked part-time as a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center, where I taught ACT/SAT mathematics. I currently conduct one on one online/in person tuition session or give a lecture to a class of 4-5 students online on a particular topic.
With a degree in Computer Science, I have always been closely connected to mathematics courses and pursued a minor in Mathematics during my undergraduate studies. Math has always fascinated me as a student. I excelled in these courses and exams during my college years, achieving a score of 780 on the SAT Math section and 35 on the ACT Math section. My GRE score in the quantitative section was 168. I received A grades in Calculus, Pre-Calculus, and Probability. In my final semester, I was appointed as the joint head TA for Probability and Calculus, responsible for creating quizzes and exams and conducting weekly tutorials.
I am fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, allowing me to tutor students who can understand english, urdu or hindi. I strive to motivate my students and often provide small treats, such as gift cards, for good performance in class. I maintain a score of 1-10 for each class and allocate a score based on their performance. At the end of 15-20 lectures, I cumulate these scores and give presents based on the scores they achieved. I believe this motivates students to be more attentive in class
