Jim Karas

I am a junior at Pitt studying Computer Science who has tutored on-and-off since my sophomore year of high school. I have always loved teaching and finding different ways to explore challenging subjects. I know firsthand how overwhelming STEM can be, as my talents in school were always more humanities-oriented, and I believe this has made me a better teacher overall. I provide judgement-free and open-eared instruction to all of my students, and I believe that cooperation and constructive feedback is the key to a good tutoring session.
