Katya was a FANTASTIC Russian teacher. I studied Russian intensively over the summer, and she took what could have been a difficult and tiring experience and made it really fun for us. My classmates and I were excited to come in every day and we were so eager to learn as much as we could. She taught us everything we were supposed to learn and she also took time to share stories and teach us about anything we asked about. Learning Russian is something really important to me and I was worried it would be too difficult and I would struggle or I wouldnt be able to finish the class, but Katya made it so easy. She challenged us in all the right ways while still understanding that some topics were difficult and we needed some extra time and help to understand them. Definitely the best class I ever took. 100/10 would recommend!!

She is very knowledgeable in just about everything. Easy to talk to and communicate with when I need to reschedule or cannot make it to our tutoring session. Lastly, she always provides me with a new challenge or something new to learn in each lesson.

Katya taught my class at the University of Pittsburgh. She is adept as working with a class of varied skill levels, and is particularly adept at structuring conversation to fully utilize lesson material and (as appropriate) incorporate student knowledge of additional vocabulary or encourage a coherent response from a struggling student.
