About
I practiced law for 33 years. I have been retired for 11 years. I do not want to sit in front of a computer all day.
Before I went to law school, I received a B.S. in education, with certification in English and social studies, and a M.S. in rehabilitation counseling. I worked for the Pittsburgh Board of education for three years at Allegheny High School.
I have one son, who is 34, and lives in Chicago.
My hobbies are reading, writing poetry, and painting.
I have always loved children, and I very much enjoy working with children. My home was where all my son’s friends congregated. I have run many group therapy sessions with adolescents, and have conducted many family mediations.
I also can speak Italian.
While I do not need to work, I feel I would benefit from continuing to work in some capacity.
As an attorney, I worked as a consultant in twelve states to improve their child welfare program, but after from my son, no longer wanting to travel so frequently, I became the trial deputy for the largest public defender’s office in the state of West Virginia, trying every time of criminal case from murder to kidnapping, and drug trafficking. The last 20 years of my legal career, I served as the Chief Deputy Attorney General for the West Virginia, successful representing the State in many ground breaking consumer litigation.
