About
Hello, I’m Bryce. I have a bachelor’s degree in professional writing from Kutztown University, where I also studied Literature. I focused in writing short fiction, but the last couple years I found a passion for poetry, for which I’ve earned a handful of publications.
I’ve always had a knack for English and writing, and spent time tutoring at my college’s writing center helping fellow students hit all the marks on their papers.
Whatever I don’t know off hand, I will spend the time researching so we can learn together.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will get to know each other through our lessons as we come to an agreement about what’s already working really well and what needs some guidance. From there, we will split everything into simple steps and practical exercises that make sense!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in professional writing, in which I focused in creative writing, but also had experience with journalism and magazine writing.
I managed my college literary magazine, then became an editorial intern for a local literary press in Pittsburgh, PA.
I tutored college students from all different fields at the Kutztown University Writing Center, where students requested general paper advice or came with specific questions about grammar, organization, formatting, etc.
I currently write and publish poetry regularly.
How did you get started teaching?
This is my first time tutoring on my own. I’m using my first hand experience writing and tutoring in a writing center to create and offer a personal learning experience of my own.
What types of students have you worked with?
College level
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask questions first to be sure they’re knowledgeable in the area required before hiring. Us writers are smart, but not perfect, so we can offer better advice depending on the specific circumstances.
