Goyal Chemistry Tutoring
About
I have a passion for passing on knowledge in my favorite subjects, one of which includes chemistry. As such, I am also an undergraduate teaching assistant for General Chemistry at my college. My experiences also include previous tutoring at KUMON, where I assisted students in English and Mathematics.
I love watching students reach that "a-ha!' lightbulb moment when they have understood a concept I have explained to them. Passing on what you have learned to other people is sucn an important part of growing up, and I love being part of it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I get to know them and what exactly they are struggling with: concepts versus actual problem solving. I then address that issue, and go from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently an undergraduate teaching assistant for General Chemistry at my university. I also have tutored previously at KUMON.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
No, I do not.
How did you get started teaching?
I was recommended by a family friend to KUMON, and ever since I have loved teaching and tutoring, and passing on my knowledge to others.
What types of students have you worked with?
Students from K-12. There were students who did not want to be tutored, and students who loved to learn. Eventually, making learning is fun the ultimate way to get them to understand concepts and focus on the task at hand.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently just moved into my own apartment with three other girls. We all moved in on the same day, which was quite the feat. But it was lively and exciting, and I will never forget it.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure he or she is clear on the concepts. If they don't know the basics, and can not explain the basics, they will be unable to help with more advanced problems.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do I understand the concept?
Do I understand what this question is asking me?
