As a native speaker, I am always happy to help others achieve fluency and proficiency in Spanish. I an experienced and certified Spanish teacher with 10+ years of experience in tutoring and teaching languages.
I am currenlty Spanish teacher at the High School level as well as an ESL tutor for middle school students. I am a graduate of Rutgers University with a BA in Spanish and Linguistics as well as a student at the University of Barcelona's international campus for a Master's in Spanish Education.
I believe in using games, current events, authentic materials and a communicative approach to helping learners achieve their goals. I am happy to help increase conversational ability as well as academic writing and vocabulary.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I establish the student's needs. I recognize that not everyone has the same goals when learning a second language. Once I know what the student's needs are I assess what their learning style is so I can tailor the tutoring to their needs and abilities.
